What do I need to do?

For the past two weeks we have been looking at reading time accurately from analogue and digital clocks. Your challenge this week is to note down 8 activities that you do over the weekend and depending on your challenge, write the times down in a range of ways and calculate how long you spent doing the activity. Think carefully about how to convert between the different clocks and think about the method we used for calculating the difference between two times.

You can find the three different challenges at the top of this page so choose which one you prefer.

Why?

To develop your confidence converting from analogue and digital clocks and calculating the duration of an event.

What do I need to do?

This week we have been learning about the long ‘a’ sound which can be spelt in different ways – ei, ey or eigh.

  • they
  • obey
  • weight
  • eighteen
  • reign
  • reindeer

  • freight

Why do I need to do this?

To know that different sounds have different spellings depending on the word.
