Today we had an amazing afternoon exploring ice balls as part of our new ‘What’s the matter?’ Science unit of work.  In small groups, we carried out several investigations on our ice balls including finding out whether light could shine through them, the effects of salt on ice and the patterns and pathways that food colouring took.  We also came up with our own suggestions for ideas to investigate ourselves.

Sophia loved the science today with the ice balls. It’s all we’ve heard about this evening. I remember when Thomas did this too and it really captures their imagination. You know what they want to make at home now!!!!!
