A summary of my favourite book Mystic and the Midnight Ride written by Stacy Gregg.
Issie keeps her own horse at a riding stables and spends all of her time with her friends horse riding and taking part in competitions. One day at a horse show another girl who has been mean to Issie startles her horse by shouting at it. The horse runs away making other horses run as well. Issie gives chase on her on horse to try and stop the other horses running into the road. There is a terrible accident when Issie falls off her horse on the road and her horse is hit by a lorry trying to protect her. Issie is taken to hospital but her horse, Mystic, dies as he is badly hurt.
After the accident Issie decides that she is never going to ride again. However she gets a call from her horse riding instructor to say that he desperately needs help and not to tell anyone. When Issie returns to the riding stables she is asked to help a horse that he has rescued and desperately needs her help.
Issie discovers that the horse has been badly hurt and neglected and won’t even let Issie touch her without being frightened. Issie spends all her time with her and eventually the horse begins to trust her. Issie calls the horse Blaze and works hard to become her friend.
Issie and Blaze become a team and Issie begins to ride Blaze and discovers that she is a brilliant jumper. They start to go to horse shows and win but then Blaze’s owners try and steal Blaze back. Issie is warned by the ghost of Mystic her previous horse who tried to protect her. Mystic wakes her up and she rides Mystic to the stables. Issie is able to stop Blaze from being taken and Issie’s mum lets her keep her. Issie wonders if horses have a guardian looking over them like people have guardian angels.

This is really interesting Olivia as it’s not a book that I know so I was intrigued to find out more about it. Your summary is clear and concise. This is definitely a book I would like to read.
    Well done!
