Daisy and the trouble with Kittens    by   Kes Gray

I love all the Daisy books but the “trouble with kittens” one is my favourite and even though I first read it in Year 2 ,I still  love reading it.

Daisy’s Grandparents come to visit and surprise both Daisy and her mum with a gift of a summer  holiday  in  sunny Spain.
They arrive at their  holiday apartment and Daisy makes a lot of new friends.
Each day ,after lunch Daisy and her  friends Harrison , Matt , Carly, Cerise and Montague meet by the pool and play zombie mermaids .
One day Harrison brought a frisbee  along and they decide to play zombie frisbee throwing.
Daisy managed to throw the Frisbee over a fence and had to go and fetch it back.
On the other side of the fence, she discovers  the most adorable family of tiny, cute, fluffy kittens huddled together in between metal dustbins . She instantly decides to look after  them and keep them without telling her mum.
She manages to sneak the kittens back to the apartment and keep them hidden. She cleverly takes food from the restaurant  to feed her new pets.
Daisy did not realise that the kittens had fleas but she soon found out  the next morning when her mum woke up screaming and very angry. Her mother was allergic to fleas.
Daisy had to return the kittens  to where she found them.

This is one of my favourite books as I read it when I was in Spain on holiday and also because I love kittens.

Very well done for writing a clear and well presented piece of writing.
