Danny the champion of the world by Stephanie

When Danny was 4 months old his mother died suddenly. His dad took care of him. He lives in an old gypsy caravan behind the filling station where his dad works. He managed to live his life without any germs or sick bugs. Every night Danny’s dad told him stories about friendly giants or clever foxes. Dad would have seen them all. In their spare time they would make fire balloons or kites and then use them in front of the caravan.

For all Danny’s life he had been training to be a mechanic. He has been a keen learner ever since he was five years old. This boy is a genius even though he doesn’t now it. It all really started with a big secret. That secret changed Danny’s life for ever.

This is an excellent summary Stephanie. I am so pleased to see that you have chosen a Roald Dahl book too – great choice! Your summary is to the point and gives a clear clue to the plot. Very well done!
