What a fabulous first day back! We spent the day working as archaeologists following an email from Betty Axon-Angle, a well known archaeologist, needing experts to advise on a curious pit that had been discovered in Canterbury.
We sifted through a whole plethora of specialist reports from archaeozoologists, osteoarcheologists and other experts, photographs and evidence, asking questions and linking together bits of information to help establish who was buried in the pit, when they were buried and most importantly why!
We collated all of our findings on to evidence boards and drew conclusions from what we had found. There were lots of different plausible theories and ideas.
On Friday we will turn our theories into stories for our Inspired to Write session.
A brilliant day!! 😀
