In a magical land far, far away there was a castle. This mysterious place was perched on top of a treacherous mountain. Nobody dared go near it except The Queen of Evil. But little did she know that the good Queen had sent a dragon up to the highest tower where the evil Queen kept a boy called Erin. Whenever the boy tried to escape the dragon stopped him. One night the beast curled around Erin. The boy realised it was there to keep him safe and a friendship developed. Soon after, the dragon found a window to escape from….

    I love your opening sentence (which uses a fabulous fronted adverbial by the way). You very cleverly led the reader to believe one thing (that the dragon was evil) but then skilfully told us otherwise!
    I can picture the castle on the treacherous mountain – a fantastic effort.
    Well done for including lots of fronted adverbial to add detail too!
