Blackness hung in the air.  A silent stillness crept over the landscape. Nothing but the bleak feeling of loneliness, breathing slowly, lived in this place. No-one came and no-one went.  Time stopped still.

Without warning, a glowing light suddenly appeared, shining across the landscape like a knife cutting through butter.  Then another, and another.  The light cast dim, angular shadows on the rocky ground below.

“How much longer do I have to sit here like a lemon?” Fred asked dryly.

“and action!”

Fred gave a heavy sigh…even though it was a boring job, he knew that it would earn him enough money to pay for his Christmas presents for his family.
